Troubleshooting

Can't create an account

Try using Login.gov first. If that fails, call 1-800-827-1000 for help getting set up.

Don't know if I'm eligible

Most veterans who served on active duty are eligible for some benefits. Use the eligibility checker at va.gov/eligibility.

Claim is taking too long

Average processing is 3-6 months. Check status online. Call the White House VA Hotline (1-855-948-2311) if concerned.

Can't access telehealth appointment

Download the VA Video Connect app from App Store or Google Play. Test your camera and microphone before the appointment.

Safety Reminder

Always check that the website address ends in .gov before entering personal information. Never share your Social Security number, Medicare number, or bank details in response to an unsolicited email, call, or text.
