Don’t worry — this is a common issue and usually easy to fix!
“AirDrop — No People Found”
What This Means (In Plain English)
Your iPhone cannot find nearby Apple devices to share photos or files with. Both devices need to have AirDrop turned on.
Common Causes
- •AirDrop is set to "Receiving Off" on one of the devices
- •Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is turned off
- •The devices are too far apart
- •A VPN app interfering with the connection
How to Fix It — Step by Step
- 1
On both iPhones, swipe down from the top-right to open Control Center.
- 2
Press and hold the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth box, then tap AirDrop.
- 3
Set AirDrop to "Everyone" on both devices (you can change it back later).
- 4
Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both turned on for both phones.
- 5
Bring the phones within about 3 feet (1 metre) of each other.
- 6
Turn off any VPN apps if you have them.
How to Prevent This in the Future
Keep AirDrop set to "Contacts Only" for everyday use. Make sure the people you want to share with are in your Contacts.
