Common Causes

  • No internet connection
  • Apple Siri servers temporarily down
  • Siri accidentally turned off in Settings

How to Fix It — Step by Step

    Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

    Try asking Siri again in a minute — the servers may be temporarily busy.

    Go to Settings > Siri & Search and turn Siri off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

    Restart your iPhone.

    Check that "Hey Siri" or "Listen for Siri" is turned on in Settings > Siri & Search.

How to Prevent This in the Future
