How to Take a Screenshot on Windows Computer
Follow these simple steps to take a screenshot on your Windows Computer. Each step is one action — nice and easy.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Press the Windows key and the Print Screen key at the same time.

The screen dims briefly to confirm the screenshot.

The image is saved automatically to your Pictures > Screenshots folder.

To capture just one window, press Alt + Print Screen instead.

Open the Screenshots folder in File Explorer to find your image.
Helpful Tip
You can also press Windows + Shift + S to open the Snipping Tool, which lets you select exactly what part of the screen to capture.
