macOS offers settings to accommodate tremors and reduce accidental inputs.

Settings to Turn On

  1. 1

    Slow Keys

System Settings → Accessibility → Keyboard → Slow Keys → turn ON

Requires keys to be held briefly before registering — filters accidental presses.

System Settings → Mouse → Tracking Speed → lower it

Slower pointer movement for more controlled cursor positioning.

  3. 3

    Spring-Loading Delay

Prevents accidental folder opening when hovering.

  4. 4

    Control your Mac by voice.
