Tremors Settings on Windows PC

Windows includes settings to help with unsteady mouse movements and accidental key presses.

Settings to Turn On

  1. 1

    Filter Keys

Settings → Accessibility → Keyboard → Filter Keys → turn ON

Ignores brief or repeated keystrokes from tremors.

  2. 2

    Mouse Pointer Speed

Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Mouse → Pointer Speed → lower it

Slower pointer movement is easier to control.

  3. 3

    Snap To

Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Mouse → Additional → Pointer Options → Snap To → turn ON

Pointer automatically jumps to buttons in dialog boxes.

  4. 4

    Voice Typing

Windows + H to dictate instead of typing

    Bypass the keyboard entirely.

Helpful Tip

A trackball mouse stays stationary while you move the ball — much easier to use with tremors than a regular mouse.
