How to Use YouTube on Windows PC

Go to YouTube

Open your browser and type youtube.com in the address bar.

Sign in

Click "Sign In" at the top right and enter your Google account credentials for the full experience.

Search for videos

Type in the search bar at the top and press Enter. Click any video thumbnail to play it.

Control playback

Use the spacebar to pause/play. Press F for full screen. Use the left and right arrow keys to skip 5 seconds.

Create playlists

Click "Save" below a video, then create a playlist to organize your favorite videos by topic.

Adjust settings

Click the gear icon on a video to change quality, playback speed, and captions.

Common Issues & Solutions

Videos are blurry
Click the gear icon on the video, then "Quality" and choose 720p or 1080p for clearer video. This requires a good internet connection.
YouTube is slow to load
Close other browser tabs. Clear your browser cache with Ctrl+Shift+Delete. Make sure your internet connection is strong.
I cannot sign in
Make sure you have a Google account. If you forgot your password, click "Forgot password?" during sign-in and follow the recovery steps.
