How to Use FaceTime on Android Phone
This guide walks you through downloading, setting up, and using FaceTime on your Android Phone — one step at a time. No tech jargon, just clear instructions.
1Download FaceTime
- 1
FaceTime is not available as an app on Android phones.
- 2
However, you can join FaceTime calls through your web browser when someone sends you a FaceTime link.
- 3
No download or installation is needed — just use Chrome or your preferred browser.
2Set Up Your Account
Receive a FaceTime link
Ask the person with an Apple device to create a FaceTime link and send it to you via text message, email, or WhatsApp.
Open the link
Tap the FaceTime link you received. It will open in your web browser (Chrome works best).
Enter your name
Type your name so others in the call know who you are, then tap "Continue."
Allow permissions
Your browser will ask to use your camera and microphone. Tap "Allow" for both.
3How to Use FaceTime
Join the call
After entering your name and allowing permissions, tap "Join." The host on the Apple device will need to let you in.
Mute yourself
Tap the microphone icon to mute or unmute. Mute when you are not speaking to reduce background noise.
Turn camera on or off
Tap the camera icon to toggle your video on or off.
Leave the call
Tap the red "Leave" button to end the call. You can rejoin using the same link as long as the call is still active.
