Tips for Seniors

  • Make text bigger in Android Settings > Display > Font Size for easier reading.

  • Keep your account private: go to Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy and turn on "Private account."

  • You do not have to post — you can simply browse and enjoy photos from family and friends.

  • Use Instagram Lite from the Play Store if your phone is running slowly or low on storage.

Common Issues & Solutions

Instagram is using too much storage
Go to Android Settings > Apps > Instagram > Storage > Clear Cache. This removes temporary files without affecting your account.
Photos look blurry when I post them
Make sure you are on Wi-Fi when posting. In Instagram Settings > Account > Data Usage, turn off "Use less mobile data." Use your camera app to take the photo first, then post from your gallery for the best quality.
I keep getting notifications
Go to Instagram > Profile > Menu > Settings > Notifications. Turn off the types of notifications you do not want, like likes and comments from people you do not follow.
